Styling Patterns - What is the key to a patterned look?

Hello beautifuls!

I hope you are all having a great start to the week and are staying safe. Today's look is all about contrast. If you've known me for a while you'll know my favourite styling always includes contrast. When you're determining what pieces  to style your main piece with, in this look it's the patterned pants, you look for the least prominent colour and bring that colour out. In this look the least prominent  colour is obviously white. Using this colour I have based the rest of the look, pairing it with a simple knitted crop and white runners. As most of the detail is in the pants you can add statement jewellery. If the top was patterned instead of the pants it would appear as if there was too much going on, but because there's a break in the look with the white crop statement jewellery makes the outfit appear more  put together.

The key to patterned look? Pair pieces using the least prominent colour in the pattern and separate your statement pieces. These pants honestly favourite new purchase. They're so fun and they make a statement. I can't wait to wear them again. Shop the look and some gorgeous patterned pieces at the bottom of this post.

Hello beautifuls!
I hope you are all staying safe. Today I am bringing you some Autumn outfit inspiration using three beautiful trends this season. In my last post I wrote about the up and coming trend of leather and this trend prediction has delivered. Let's be honest though, when do they not? This look is all about texture and adding a pop of colour.

Hello beautifuls!
I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. As we move into the cooler months it's time to take some notes from Fashion Month. One of the main trends we saw this season was leather with some vinyl. Not just as biker jackets or bags, but more unexpected pieces like trench coats and high neck long sleeved tops. I will be honest, faux leather is a lot more accessible and wearable than vinyl.

If your comfort zone with faux leather is usually restricted to a leather jacket, I highly recommend you try something slightly out of your comfort zone. Only just slightly. It will help create an illusion of a more put together look. It doesn't have to be over the top. Try adding a beige leather skirt or some black  paper bag shorts like the ones in this post. If you're comfortable with bolder styling, run with it! Go wild! Try adding some leather slightly flared pants, a maroon trench coat or white shorts. My favourite piece I really want to get my hands on though looks like it should have been on Friends, a black leather dress.

Hello beautifuls!

I hope you are all staying safe and positive. Tonight the Iconic is having a Happy Hour logo sale from 8-9:59pm! No code is needed. It's time to get lots of your favourite brand's pieces for 30% off or those brands that are just slightly out of your price range. When it's sale time I usually buy pieces that are normally just a tiny bit too expensive that become affordable when it's sale time. All of my favourite pieces from the sale are below. The white Tommy Jeans shirt below is one of my most worn pieces this year.

Hello beautifuls!
I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
I was looking on Peppermayo a couple of weeks ago and found a dress that I knew would be perfect for Autumn or Spring. I couldn't decide between the beige or the brown. That night I went back on the site to find that they were sold out. Like any determined shopper I began to search on multiple different sites like The Iconic, Verge Girl, Princess Polly and Lioness. They were all sold out! Even Lioness the brand whose design it was had already sold out of their pre-sale. Highly disappointed, I decided it was time  to  part ways with the hope of buying this gorgeous design.  A week later and some stores have finally started restocking it! I have done the sizing search for you and some other alternative colours as well.

Hello beautifuls!
Autumn has begun and it is time break the rules for these seasons. Are you ready? In Summer we started to see lots of pastel greens and purples with a wave of beige. It going to be the most 2000s inspired Autumn and Spring we have seen yet. These colours seem to be transitioning perfectly for Autumn and Spring. Not to mention the 50 shades of brown which is about to take over the Autumn vibe for 2020. Say hello to pastel knits, blazers and co-ords.

My key styling suggestions for this season is pairing pastel purple with pastel green prints. Don’t be afraid to wear a lighter shades, complimented by Autumn fabrics. My second styling tip is something I have been obsessing over for the last few weeks is beige with a warm toned brown pieces.

Are beige and white just for Summer?

Hello beautifuls!

Autumn and Spring are slowly making an appearance. This obviously means it’s time for transitional fabrics and colours. The real question is can you continue to wear white and beige in Autumn? This year the amount of white and beige Autumn and Spring pieces is incredible. I am completely on this hype train. There is everything from corduroy beige pants to white jackets. Quite frankly, I don’t see why we can’t pair Winter textures with lighter colours to give it a more natural and airy feel.

In this look I’ve styled pink satin midi dress and a white linen blazer. It gives the feel of transitioning from either a warmer month to a cold month or a colder month to a warmer month. A white linen jacket to give it a more transitional season feel. The colour and fabric of the jacket not only blurs the lines between seasons, but  makes it more casual and temperature appropriate.

Hello beautifuls!
The 14th of February is fast approaching. This year Valentine's Day is a Friday. It's the perfect excuse for  girl's night, date night or even a day to dress up and feel good showing everyone the amazing queen you are. I have put together some of my favourite Valentine's Day themed pieces. My ultimate piece below is a stunning red dress, with pockets. Yes, I said pockets! Honestly there nothing cuter than a fuller skirt dress with pockets. I am also adoring the gorgeous crop embellished with roses. The following stores also have sales at the moment.
