Hello beautifuls!
Today is day 3 of the 12 Days of Guest Bloggers. This incredibly post has been written by Jessy from Current Bliss. I don't to worry about giving you a full introduction to this gorgeous blogger, as she has written an introduction herself. Rach xx
Hey guys! I thought I would first introduce myself a little bit. My name is Jessy and my blog is Current Bliss. It is a lifestyle blog where I talk about the pretty little things in life (fashion & beauty) and also a place where I share snapshots of our life as a young, married couple! My husband, Jesse, and I have been married for 3 years. Yep, that’s right! We’re Jessy & Jesse. :)
After Jesse and I lived in a tropical climate for the first two years of our marriage, experiencing our first winter back in the midwest last year was less than pleasant haha. We’re talking high winds, freezing temperatures, and lots of snow! But there are a few things I do enjoy about winter including the holidays and cold weather fashion! When the seasons change, it’s a good excuse to try out the newest trends of that season. Currently, blanket scarves are a big trend. I’ve seen so many girls wearing them and I was finally convinced that I definitely needed one too! So I ventured out on Black Friday in search of the perfect blanket scarf. They are very popular right now so they weren’t hard to find. But when I first started to try them on, I must say…I kinda felt like this….
Blanket scarves are definitely supposed to be big, but the ones I was trying on felt a little overwhelming. BUT…I didn’t want to give up yet. I finally found the perfect one at the store Altar’d State. And bonus… they were buy one, get one free on Black Friday! I couldn’t pass that up. They had so many cute ones to pick from! I bought a black and teal plaid one as well as this red one.
I think the red plaid with this green jacket from Windsor is the perfect combination for Christmas! The scarves are so soft and big but not overly bulky. They can also be super versatile too! Not only can you wear them with jackets, but for milder days, you can also wear one with just a sweater!
And to switch it up a bit, you can leave it untied, and use it more like a shawl or cape!
I think these scarves add such a cute, cozy, wintery look to any outfit. They are easy to throw on but look like a nicely put together, holiday-ready outfit!
So, I was wondering…what do you guys think of blanket scarves? Have you found the perfect one? Are you planning on jumping on board with this trend? Let me know! Thanks to Rachael for having me over as a guest blogger today! I had so much fun doing this! xo.
