"Christmas is that one time a year when girls can totally dress up in ugly Christmas sweaters and no other girls can say anything about it."
This year I went out and decided to buy myself an ugly Christmas sweater that's so ugly it's cute. I think I accomplished that one! This sweater is adorable and chic at the same time and with the hanging bells on each side of the antlers, the sequins round glasses around the reindeer's eyes, and the red and white stripes on the back of the sweater making it the perfect sweater for the holidays.
But really, this post is not all about my sweater. What it's really about Christmas and what it means to me. Christmas has a lot of different meanings for many people, but for me it is about coming together family/friends, surprises, showing others you care, church on Christmas eve, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and a restless night of sleep because you are so excited and can hardly wait to open your presents. Now that I'm older I'm not as restless as I used to be. I remember I would be up around 6a.m. when I was younger because I could hardly wait. Along with that I would wake up every half hour just wanting the time to fly by, so I could wake my parents to go downstairs and start opening presents.
Gosh now that really brings back some wonderful memories. Life was something else back in my younger days and shopping for me was a lot easier. All I asked my parents for when I was younger were toys, cd's, clothes and you know other things younger kids like. Now, all I ask for is new clothes, jewelry, shoes, and apartment decorations. I guess what I can say about that is clothes, jewelry, shoes, and apartment decorations will be put to better use then toys.
The one thing that really ties Christmas together is the snow. The Midwest usually has snow by this time, but this year I may not see a white Christmas. It snowed here over a month ago and stayed for about two days before it melted. Whether you're experiencing a white Christmas or not I hope you have a fantastic Christmas.
It seems to be that my sweater is already sold out, but I have some adorable links below that would be hot for this season and next year.
