Hello beautifuls!
The festive season is a wonderful time to express creativity and create a warm, homely place. This year so many people appear to be becoming highly enthusiastic about Christmas right through the month of November. There is nothing wrong with getting excited about Christmas early, and being organised for December. Quite frankly I am just as excited as the next person. Instead of providing you with Christmas inspiration in December, My Violet Delights is beginning this week. Just to give you lots of inspiration, motivation to be creative, along with a bit of festive spirit in time for December. Today's DIY is incredibly simple, but as always also incredibly effective. Not only will this Christmas tree make a lovely table centre piece for you home throughout the festive season, but it will also help it smell beautiful.
Start by cutting your rosemary into different lengths for the layers of your cupcake stand. Ensure that the pieces for the bottom layer are the longest and they decrease in size for each layer from there. Place the pieces around the centre of each layer to fill in the stand. Continue adding rosemary until you are happy.
Add baubles to the tree by placing them where each cupcake would go, except for on the very top of the stand. To add more interest I have used larger baubles on the bottom and decreased the size with each layer. I have also alternated sizes in a pattern on the bottom layer. Once you have added the baubles you may find that you need to move the rosemary around to make it more visible and possibly even add more.
Add a candle to the top layer of your stand to create some light. Once you have lit the candle your tree is complete.
If you create a cupcake stand Christmas tree I would LOVE to see it! Be sure to tag me on Instagram or Twitter and use the hashtag #VioletDelightsXmas. When you use the hashtag it will get added to the photos below.
