Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a spectacular start to December. I have been trying to cram in as many Christmas experiences before I go on holidays. It is time for my annual Festive Season Lookbook. *happy dance* Over on Instagram you guys asked for some styling suggestions, so I will be doing a lot more talking this year to give you those suggestions rather than just pretty pictures. I tried to give this year more of an Australian theme for a little bit of Aussie pride to show you what it's like on this side of the world. It also means that there are pieces you can actually wear if Christmas day is going to be boiling hot like it is here. ![]() I can never go past a pair of comfy and cosy pair of Christmas pyjamas. These definitely remind me of Scott Calvin's from the Santa Claus. They have a simple contrast between the red satin and white trim. These would be perfect for present unwrapping on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning (or even throughout December as much as possible like me haha). I don't know about you, but my family loves taking photos of present unwrapping on Christmas morning, so it's handy to have an extra cute pair of pjs. This dress is perfect for Christmas day. There is a split on either side to make sure the fabric doesn't cling and is excellent for a hot Summer day. Dresses like this are easy to wear to ensure you feel comfortable during the heat. The fabric is covered in tiny black flowers which is easy to pair with some black heels or black flats. STYLING TIP: Keep jewellery simple to continue the look of elegance. I've paired it with a layered gold necklace and some detailed gold hoops. If you are going to spend the day in aircon or a cooler environment this dress would pair perfectly with a black belt. Dress: (Currently sold out online, but available in store from Dissh Boutiques) Similar: Dissh $71.99, Dissh $55.99, Dissh $55.99, Dissh $39.00, Showpo $89.95. Detailed hoops: Colette $5.00, Colette $7.79, Colette $7.79 Layered necklaces: Showpo $18.95, Showpo $14.95, Colette $10.19, Colette $11.39 Black heels: Spend-Less Shoes $49.99, Spend-Less Shoes $49.99, Spend-Less Shoes $49.99, ShowpoxBillini $99.95 Suit style pieces this year have obviously become very popular. They can even look incredible at Christmas or for New Years Eve. I am obsessed with this red. It makes such a wonderful statement and instant outfit. I love the tie up detailing in the crop making it look even more festive. Since it is already such a statement outfit, I've kept accessories simple. STYLING TIP: I would suggest to style other suit pieces in a similar way to continue the vibe of effortless class. I've paired this look with some simple hoops again and rose gold heels. Metallic heels create a more festive vibe, but these could easily be paired with some black heels like the pairs I suggested earlier. If you're not into such a bold colour I have linked some other two piece sets below. Sets: Showpo $79.95, Showpo $79.95, Showpo $79.95, Showpo $79.95, Showpo $74.95, Showpo $74.95 Detailed hoops: Colette $5.00, Colette $7.79, Colette $7.79 Metallic heels: Spend-Less $19.99, The Iconic $49.95, The Iconic $49.95, The Iconic $55.00, The Iconic $99.95 Linen is another great fabric to help keep cooler on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. It is also super convenient that linen is having moment. This white linen dress would be a wonderful choice for New Year's Day. The colour and fabric says Summer, but the style says effortless class. Vintage style belts like this are an excellent match to create shape in colour block dresses like this. You can replace it with another belt to create a statement like black or brown, but I love the seamless look that is created by using the same fabric. STYLING TIP: The back of this dress can tied the same as normal vertical straps, but I loved creating extra detail by tying it as a cross over. As the style of this dress is very similar to the red dress (cowl neck midi dress) I have used very similar accessories, but paired it with some pointed toe low gingham wedges. White dresses like this would also work perfectly with a tan belt and heels or a black belt and heels. Linen dresses: (The dress pictured above is currently almost sold out online, but is still available in store Dissh $79.99) Dissh $69.00, Dissh $71.99, Dissh $59.99. White dresses: Dissh $71.99, Dissh $71.99, Glassons $39.99 Detailed hoops: Colette $5.00, Colette $7.79, Colette $7.79 Layered necklaces: Showpo $18.95, Showpo $14.95, Colette $10.19, Colette $11.39 Gingham shoes: Sabo Skirt $82.00, Sabo Skirt $82.00, Sabo Skirt $61.60 New Years Eve outfits are definitely crucial. I am loving these tasselled pieces as the tassels creates more interest in a look. I have paired this set with rose gold heels and gold hoops. If a whole tasselled look is too much for you the top would pair well with a leather skirt, whilst the skirt would pair well with a satin cowl neck top. STYLING TIP: This skirt would work perfectly with a black belt with gold detailing. This will help blend metallic heels and any gold jewellery. Tasselled tops: Meshki $55.00, Meshki $55.00, Meshki $55.00, Meshki $55.00 Tasselled skirts: Meshki $59.00, Meshki $59.00, Meshki $59.00, Meshki $59.90 Detailed hoops: Colette $5.00, Colette $7.79, Colette $7.79 Metallic heels: Spend-Less $19.99, The Iconic $49.95, The Iconic $49.95, The Iconic $55.00, The Iconic $99.95 I hope that gives you all a few styling ideas for the Festive Season. I will be very soon posting some more pieces and styling suggestions.
