Hello beautifuls,
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I’ve been having an excellent time trying some new Colourpop products. Two of these are actually from their Fall Edit, which I was very excited to get my hands on so quickly.

Man Eater

This rose gold colour is from their Ultra Metallic Lip range. I have read some mixed reviews when it comes to the Ultra Metallic Lip range, due to a weak pigmentation. When first opening the product and examining the texture I was concerned that it would be too thick. However, the colour and texture of this product is perfect. The rose gold colour is distributed quite evenly when applying with the applicator. After eating and drinking some of the colour had worn away, but not significantly. It does have a slightly sticky feel that would usually indicate possible transfer. One of the wonderful things I have found with Colour Pop lip colours over time is that they don’t transfer. Man Eater is no exception to this. I would recommend exfoliating before to achieve a nice, smooth look. The colour can also be drying so using a moisturising lip balm and exfoliating after will help to minimize this effect. Overall, I love this product and can’t wait to wear it through the holiday season.

Muse

Muse is from Colourpop's Super Shock Shadow range in a pearlized finish. I found there was a much richer colour when applying the shadow with my fingers. After this, I used a fluffy brush to blend it through my crease. The colour is buildable, which is great if you really want a strong tone. I found you need to blend Muse quite quickly otherwise it becomes really hard to do. However, if you don't blend it quick enough, just apply again to the area in which you wish to blend and it still creates a gorgeous smokey look.

Paradox

Picture
Paradox is from Colourpop's Super Shock Shadow range in a satin finish. It has a slight stunning purple undertone. When applying this shade with my finger I found I needed more than expected to spread across my lid. To achieve a darker colour I had to apply a few layers, which almost made it appear as if there is a different colour on my lid and crease. I found a much nicer colour payoff when using a brush for this shadow. Once again this shadow can take a bit more effort to blend, but the rich pink tone makes it worth it. For the crease, I would recommend just applying it straight to a blending/fluffy brush for a stronger tone. It also blends a lot cleaner. To achieve the maroon tone similar to that in the eyeshadow pot, I had to apply four layers. Which I would not recommend using for a small area on your lid.

Coconut

Coconut is from Colourpop's Super Shock Shadow range in a pearlized finish. This is the most pigmented of all three shadows. To achieve a true pearlized finish I added two layers. It is very true to the colour seen in the packaging. This is amazing as you don't often get many cheaper products like this. Coconut is the hardest to blend of all three products, however. I had to apply it directly to the area with a shadow brush, then blend with a fluffy brush just to achieve a smokey look. If I’m honest with you, I’m not completely happy with the looks, therefore it will require practice in the future. This colour will definitely be on my list of must use Summer colours. Please excuse the unblended foundation lines in a couple of the photos below.

These products are great cruelty-free alternatives to the Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadows. The texture isn't as thick making it easily buildable. This means you have a lot more tones to choose from within each product as well. Overall, I do love these colours, however some obviously take more effort than others. I'll definitely be using these products for future makeup looks, particularly over the holiday season.

Have a wonderful week beautifuls!
