Sparkling Christmas Star

Hello beautifuls!
Hope you are all having a lovely day. Christmas is the perfect time to try out different DIY's and let your creativity shine. With this DIY you can literally let it shine :P I'll be showing you how to create a gorgeous twinkling tinsel star. All you will need is a few things that you're likely to have lying around at home and re-purpose them.

When choosing wire try to use wire that is pliable, but still sturdy enough to retain it's shape. Using a few pieces of wire together can help with this. If you cannot find wire like this, follow these steps and I have an extra little suggestion at the bottom to solve this. 

Create a star shape with your wire. This may take a few tries to get the perfect shape. Drawing a stencil on a piece of paper and shaping it to follow the stencil can also be quite helpful. When you have the shape you want, twist the ends of the star shape to hold it together. Use side cutters or another form of wire cutters to cut off any excess wire you may have. 

Twist your tinsel around the wire until it is completely covered. To make it easier to twist around, keep your tinsel in a ball and unroll as you go. 

Twist your fairly lights around the tinsel to give it a light and sparkly effect. Your sparkling Christmas star is now complete and ready to hang. 

You could also add some candles in the middle of the star for a table centre piece. This is great for Christmas lunch or dinner to add something extra to your table. This suggestion is perfect for those you who don't have write that is sturdy enough to retain it's shape.
