Hello beautifuls! Hope you are having a wonderful week. Over the past three years I have had the opportunity to work with the insanely talented photographer Molly Gilmour. I know many of you have loved the different posts with Molly's work, especially The One with Molly. If you haven't read it, her photos are always worth a look. A few weeks ago Molly and I worked together on another shoot at West End in Brisbane with a rustic urban vibe. You can find all of Molly's details at the end of this post. Long sleeved playsuits are a great transitional season piece, particularly if you are like me and live in a place where Autumn is more like that cool breeze that will occasionally break up the hot Summer air. It incorporates the flowy sleeved fabrics of Summer and Spring, with the darker tones of the months to come. Over the last season double buckle belts and other statement buckle belts have been an essential piece for any stylish wardrobe. Pairing it with the stripes of this playsuit, helps to break up the pattern. Throughout this look I have confined many of the accessories to black, creating a matching flow of coordinated colour. Black is a really easy, cheat way to coordinate accessories. For the best pay off in a look, make sure that all tones are very similar. This bag from Colette creates the perfect pop of soft colouring. When adding colour to an outfit doesn't have to be a bold colour. Soft contrasting touches are also incredibly effective. The felt hat trend has been adored by many over the past few years. This felt boater brings a breath of fresh air to the trend. The flat shape creates a look that's more urban chic than cowgirl. Days have passed when the 90's tattoo choker was the must have item. I know I've said this before, but try adding a lot more detail to your chokers. Whether it's through layering or styling or an intricate piece. Chokers are so easy to make yourself. If you want to know more about making your own choker, or the one above take a look at this post. Shop the Look:I'm aware that there are a pair of boots in the Shop the Look above that are nothing like the ones from this outfit, but I couldn't resist sharing them with you. They're insanely cute!
Thanks for reading. Hope you have a fabulous weekend. Rach xx
