Hello beautifuls!
I hope you are having a lovely weekend. Valentine's Day is almost upon us and a long with it a need for the perfect outfit. Finding the perfect look will be easy with some fool proof styling advice and stunning looks to give you inspiration.

Firstly, the three most important things when deciding on your look for Valentine's Day are:
  1. Are you going to feel comfortable?
  2. Are you going to feel confident?
  3. Are you going to feel happy?
If your answer isn't yes to all three of those questions, then maybe try finding something else to wear. You look your best when you feel happy and confident. With or without plans on Valentine's Day you deserve to feel your best.

The first look is your typical movie and dinner date. I will be seeing the much anticipated Dealpool this Valentine's Day. A little black dress is usually the perfect go-to option for a dinner date. Consider branching out from the LBD and trying a playsuit like this one from Topshop. Its style creates the illusion of a dress, but gives you the comfort of playsuits/shorts. Pair it with some simple jewellery, matching heels (or flats if you’d prefer) and a bag.

Styling tips:
  1. Make sure that the necklace you choose matches the neckline of your playsuit; otherwise it can look incredibly awkward.
  2. Having matching accessories helps to create a flow of colour throughout an outfit.
  3. Ensure that all of your jewellery and metals (such as the hardware on your bag) are the same colour. This is an essential key to creating an well put together look.

For those of you who prefer a casual day with brunch or on the couch watching Netflix. This is the look for you. Pinafores create a soft and cute look, particularly this one from Topshop. To achieve a flawless Valentine's Day look, pair it with patterned top, simple jewellery, dark faux suede boots.

Styling tips:
  1. A soft fabric pinafore creates an element of comfort to a look.
  2. Faux suede is a style of fabric that will help an outfit look more expensive. If you have the option between patent or faux suede, choose faux suede.
  3. Buying black accessories makes it easier to match colours and create the look of a flow of colour.

Need a fancier look than Sunday brunch this Valentine's Day? Consider wearing embroidered mesh. The key to wearing a shirt like this is, what is worn underneath and ensuring you feel comfortable. The shape of the singlet underneath should not take away from the gorgeous blouse over the top. The top creates a v-shape, therefore wearing a v-shaped singlet underneath is a must. Tutus are not just for 5 year olds. They can easily make an outfit very elegant and classy. However, as with everything they need to be styled seamlessly. Mesh, chiffon or silk are great fabrics to achieve this. Treat tutus as if they are your statement piece when styling. Keep it incredibly simple to avoid a 'cluttered outfit'.

Styling tips:
  1.  Wearing darker tone coloured heels with a black outfit can create a soft element of colour.
  2. When wearing a crop top wear a longer piece on the bottom. It creates a contrast and class rather than ... You know where I'm going with this.
  3. A patterned clutch can break up an all-black look creating interest.
Have a lovely Valentine's Day tomorrow beautifuls. Don't forget my three most important rules when styling tomorrow.
  1. Are you going to feel comfortable?
  2. Are you going to feel confident?
  3. Are you going to feel happy?
Happy styling!
Rach xx
